Lots of snow around, so feeling really festive but bitterly cold.
We have been so organised this year (well by our poor standards anyway)
Went shopping Oct/Nov time and did a huge lakeside shop for more than 8hrs, topped this up with a mid week visit to bluewater and managed to get the majority done. One trip to Ashford, picked up a few bits here and there, so not too tedious this time round.
Went to Smyths last Thursday, stocked up for the Harvla :-) I was threatening not to be wrapping presents until 3am xmas eve, which we won't be as even all that's been done, well almost all except this lot of course which won't be arriving on site until little ones in bed...
I wonder what he makes of it all this year? Not too keen on Father Christmas, happy to stand at a distance wave & receive pressies...but point blank refuses to que and visit him!
Loves all the christmas trees and lights though and understands that not all presents are his, so we're half way there.
We're excited for him anyway, I can't wait.

What’s been happening since I turned 30?
Nothing much, I'm only pregnant can you believe! There was me thinking it would take a while and how long did it take, a couple of months :-) shock.
I know this was never going to happen to me by accident and its down to planned military precision and all that, but it’s still a shock to my system to think there's actually something growing in there!
Well I’m officially 21wks and only now am I beginning to entertain the idea that this is actually happening to me. The midwife thinks I’m bonkers, I've seen the little thing FOUR times and heard its heartbeat at least SIX times...on the sound of the heartbeat at my last appointment she commented "well unless that's a puppy in there" but it just still doesn't seem real.
I hardly suffered with sickness/tiredness in the first 12wks (I know, don't wish it upon yourself) and now only slightly showing in the belly department, but have felt it kicking for the past two weeks which is a nice occasional reassuring comfort that all’s well.
Much debate over my due date between the clinic & the hospital. We went from the 2nd April to 26th March, but we're now sticking with the 29th March on the measurements of the baby. We'll see, at least we know roughly when to expect some action.
Half way and much to be excited about but I'm no natural and already saying never again...but as I'm reminded, I haven't done anything yet - oh dear. I'm really not sure I'm cut out for all this. No regrets and I am sure I'll be reflecting this time next year on the greatest achievement of my life so far.

I turn the BIG 3 ___ 0 tomorrow
I thought I would mark the occasion on here, since I started the blog a day before my 28th Birthday, 14th July 2008!
Is it wrong to feel totally not bothered?
Quite a few of my mates really freaked out, but it feels like any other birthday for me, except for more significant presents coming my way...
Wey Hey bring on the iPad.
Its all relative isn't it, all the ones who had a problem turning 30 are now well on their path to 40 and I've only just arrived, so I have every reason to feel upbeat.
You're as young as the woman you feel, MMmmm ;-(

Knocked out before the Quarter Finals
OK, so a guy who doesn't really give a dam about football and cares even less about the England team bet me that England do not reach the quarterfinal stage. Easy money (or so I thought) even if we didn't progress past that stage I thought we'd get there!!! I mean this would mean us losing out in the KO game after the group stage, surely we are better than that - NO.
So as payment I had to purchase the office krispy kreme doughnuts :-( I don't even eat bloody doughnuts. We have all sorts in the office, even supposed 'football fans' who hate the England team and think they are a bunch of useless w*****s. Well the team did themselves no favours did they. I have to listen to all the 'I told you so' now.
Well of all the emailed responses I got to alerting everyone of the bet I lost and the resulting treat for everyone else, this had to be the best "I wish we'd had those doughnuts in defence on Sunday! They would have done a better job!" this run a close second "all I can say is that if we defended like that in 1939-45 the whole country would be speaking German now!"
...a few of my friends are out in SA, it made me so angry when I see Rooney ranting down the TV at the booers after the Algeria game! How dare he. He's been the biggest let down all tournament. The most passion & performance shown from an Englishman on tour was our Mr Pavlos Joseph!
Anyway, until Germany all the defence looked solid, but the fact is we just hadn't been tested by a decent team!
I went bananas when Lampards 'goal' went in against the Germans :-( who knows, that was our best spell in the match and at 2-2 maybe things would of been different - I just hate it that the players have always got some excuse and we're left with the what ifs.
Boring rigid old school 442 tactics :-( Although Germany were amazing.
I mean they made us look like amateurs the way they attacked us then the clinical finishing when they got there!! My god, we couldn't compete. I heard the German coach say he did his homework, hit England on the break cause Lampard and Gerrard are always supporting the attack...the fullbacks are wide, Klose to pull Terry out of position and through they go. AND boy were they true to their word and it worked a treat...oh well only another boring qualification to look forward to now and then get our hopes up again in 2yrs time for the euros.

Phew, we did it!
Well my JT and 4-0 didn't come off but who cares, finally a good performance :-)
OK, we know it was against the smallest nation at this World Cup, but let us enjoy the moment.
The two big Capello changes, decisively combined to produce the only goal of the game that proved enough to secure our place in the last 16. DEFOE is a goalscorer (more than Heskey, bless) and well done Milner, put a number of great crosses in to the box.
Dare I say it, Rooney even looked slightly better! Fullbacks have been brilliant throughout, as well as Terry (and all his centre back pairings) Upson put in a match winning tackle in the dying seconds of this game. Gerrard & Barry both superb again, James looked solid, I guess the only one who didn't set the world alight was Lampard.
Most important thing was the performance had a lot more urgency, work rate and fighting spirit was excellent.
The U.S. got a last gasp entry to the last 16 & top the group. On paper they now get the easier route instead of ourselves but hey, as they say...if you want to win the World Cup you have to BEAT the best teams.
Bring on the Germans then the Argentines we will dispose of both (fingers crossed)
At least when you play better opposition you tend to up your game, rather than just thinking you have to turn up for the 'supposedly' easier games to win. If we play with this much tempo & determination and keep improving as the tournament goes on then we are in with a great chance.

Slovenia v England 15:00 BST
I am so anxious, I know they can do it, £2 on JT 1st goal and £5 on 4-0 I'm optimistically behind them at least.
With Slovenia only needing a draw, obviously they will camp out in their half, I am concerned we have shown no creativity or imagination so far to break teams down. That could change if Rooney decides to have a good game, the midfield pass & move with a bit of pace! Lets just hope they don't catch our centre backs for pace on the break, as that would be a disaster.
So far they have shown a lack of desire and no fighting spirit, if that changes I'll be halfway happy.
It's in our hands so there will be no one else to blame, we need a win, with no win so far surely our luck must change.
Lets see, maybe a 0-0 or 4-0. I bet there will be no in between.
Leaving work at 2ish to collect the boy, don't want him to miss the big match, he'll just have to blow his nursery buddies out this afternoon I'm afraid!
Our captain has said "its a do-or-die situation. It would be an absolute disaster for this group of players to go home after the group stages - The key is to try and live without fear. There is pressure and fear. But the fear of not winning drives you on. We've come here to stay in this tournament to the end."
If we do end up going out today, it will be the first time since 1958 that England have failed to get out of the group stage at a World Cup. Surely we'll do it. We have to.

Does anyone remember this headline
The day after the draw, last December...

Always so much expectation, yet they rarely deliver? Such a talented bunch of individuals, even Capello is bemused. Stunned as to why they can not translate qualifying & training ground form on to the big stage.
As a nation of course we are so fickle, especially the way we idolise then villainise our lions from one minute to the next! Of course they can still top the group and all will be forgotten.
BUT so far two draws (against the U.S. & Algeria) and only managing ONE goal (which was missed by me anyway thanks to ITV HD) come on guys, you're letting us down.
These players are not only world class in their own right they play in arguably the best league in the world and are not lacking in experience, we boast a few Champions League Winners for goodness sake.
With the best manager for a long time, a supposedly 'easy' group and a relatively pain free route to the final stages if we get our finger out I honestly see no reason why we can't win it.

AND so we win SOD ALL again!
Just looking back at my end of season premiership prediction posts. I guess I was relatively close (EXCEPT for my over the top points tally for ARSENAL) we tailed off at the end, not really a fair reflection on how much we 'were' actually in contention! We gave zero effort in final games once we had nothing to play for and god forbid 'nearly' got caught up by an impressive Spurs who I have to say thoroughly deserved their Champions League spot :-)
So it did finish with Chelsea as champions closely followed by Man U...but a lot closer than the 2pts I predicted, amazing run in, only a point in it! BUT 75pts is never going to win a Premier League Title :-(
1 Chelsea 86
2 Manchester United 85
3 Arsenal 75
As always, promises of spending big to bolster the squad. Who knows, this time maybe Mr Wenger will...starting with Joe Cole, I guess we can afford his ridiculous wages considering he will arrive on a 'free transfer' but will he tie up with Harry instead, we'll see.

My necks on the line...
1 Chelsea 88
2 Manchester United 86
3 Arsenal 84
The guys I share the season ticket with, bless this 'roy of the rovers' prediction...
1 Arsenal 84
2 Chelsea 83
3 Manchester United 82
But hey, I hope so too.
Also...
1 Chelsea 85
2 Arsenal 84
3 Manchester United 83
All gooners but can not agree on where we will finish!
Also a possibility: 84pt three way split for the title on goal difference, how about that?
2 Manchester United 86

Top Banana
Well I've made my predictions so I'm keeping them on record and I'm going to try not to analyse again until the end of the season, I said TRY.
For Chelsea…
Who knows, maybe Villa or City could nick a point at the Bridge. I can’t see them getting all 9pts away from home against Everton, Liverpool and Man Utd?! Finally lets hope our North London rivals do us a favor and nick a point from them at White Hart Line. The others Bolton, Stoke, West Ham, Wigan ‘should’ be straight forward home wins. Blackburn, Portsmouth, Wolves ‘should’ be relatively easy away ties.
For Man U…
I just have a feeling they will beat Chelsea so I’m pinning my hopes again (I know this is calling in a lot of favors from our N.London rivals) but Spurs grabbing a point and perhaps our other cockney mates West Ham or them Liverpool scousers getting a something. I’ll give them Stoke & Fulham 'straight forward' home wins and Blackburn, Bolton, Sunderland & Wolves as easy away days. However surely Villa, Everton & Man City away ‘should’ all be difficult!
Hopefully I have identified a few potential banana skins!

First one to blink loses!
Been driving myself mad studying the run-in and drawn a few conclusions.
I think 90pts is the benchmark to win the league, as it’s panned out like this in previous seasons…
2008/09
1 Manchester United 90
2 Liverpool 86
3 Chelsea 83
4 Arsenal 72
2007/08
1 Manchester United 87
2 Chelsea 85
3 Arsenal 83
4 Liverpool 76
2006/07
1 Manchester United 89
2 Chelsea 83
3 Liverpool 68
4 Arsenal 68
Chelsea won in 2005/06 & 2004/05 with a whopping 91 & 95 pts, last time we got 90pts was the invincible season (2003/04) 26-12-0. Hmmmm.
So even if we win all our final 13games we will have 88pts, not enough. I think realistically speaking I see no reason why we shouldn’t win ALL our home games, starting with Liverpool tomorrow (others Burnley, Fulham, Man City, Sunderland, West Ham, Wolves) then I think we will draw a couple of away games, possibly Birmingham and dare I say it Spurs. Again realistically speaking I see no reason why any of the others: Blackburn, Hull, Stoke, Wigan should cause us problems.
So my prediction for us, 84pts and as long as we get that as a minimum we have done ourselves justice, but it’s a tall order! This will be two wins short of the season target, we have lost six games already and looking at those last six seasons the winners have only ever lost at the most FIVE. So it’s all very marginal for us, but just ever so slightly lacking. Devils advocate but perhaps avoiding one loss or turning a couple of draws in to wins may have clinched it, we’ll see at the end and reflect back.
So for the magical 90pts, Man U will need 11wins 1draw and can even afford to lose a game. Chelsea could also afford a loss and TWO draws as long as they pick up 10wins, so neither scenario unrealistic.
We’re doomed.
Man u have been through their dodgy patch, they have hit a bit of form now and Rooney is on fire.
Chelsea do look the most solid, but before us they drew 1-1 with Hull and got a near on last minute winner Vs Burnley (they were far from convincing in either game) they are due a blip more than anyone, starting with their game tomorrow Vs Everton would be nice.
I guess from now until the end of the season, first one to blink loses!
This will take no less than EVERYONE taking maximum points from EVERY game and let’s see who loses first?
If that’s us tomorrow, I give up!

Lee Dixon's tactical view
Spot on geeze, couldn't agree more, except the very last paragraph of course ;-) Read the BBC report!
Ever the optimist
...but even I am slightly depressed about Arsenals results of late. So we drew against Villa followed by defeats to Man Utd and Chelsea.
What makes it worse is that tactically they have us sussed! Blatantly turning us over but calling it out it exactly how it’s going to play out before hand. Do we alter our tactics so they come unstuck, as if. We are as arrogant as ever and play it out exactly as we are, OK we play the best football, everyone agrees, but we’re not winning anything!
Arsenal have now played the top two twice this season and lost all four matches, scoring only TWO and letting in TEN!
We have x13 games left and we have seen that anyone can drop points at any time. We clawed back an 11pt gap before xmas so we have proved we can do it! Chelsea and United both have the rest of the top seven to face before the end of the season - including each other – I guess on paper at least, we have the easier run-in.
Here we go, can we claw back a 7pt gap and take it to the wire.
My theory is that winning games against the top four doesn’t guarantee you the title. However sustaining good unbeaten consistent runs does. So if we can patch together at least a 10game unbeaten run, lets see where that leaves us?

Is this just becoming a football blog?
I don't care cause I'm a season ticket holder so I can go on about my team as much as I like now.
We don't need to see their goals; they were pretty insignificant in the end so let’s just feast our eyes on these four bad boys!
1-2...

2-2...

3-2...

4-2...

I'll probably be back down to earth this time next month! So I'll enjoy every minute of it while I can. I wonder if we can continue this success past: Villa, Manu U, Chelsea then Liverpool. We'll see, watch this space.

Superstition? To be or not to be?
Question: are us football supporters too wrapped up in superstition or does it really have an effect.
CASE 1 - we were having a tough game against Villa, 0-0 at half time when D realised for some reason that we were in the wrong seats. Usually I always sit in the end aisle seat. Not that is matters but she made us swap round, we suddenly start playing a lot better and eventually we get THREE goals. I hear about us being in the wrong seats all the way home and how that was at fault for the goalless first half.
CASE 2 - D wears a hat for the first time, after going 2-0 down against Bolton she slighly removes it, it was cold so I asked her was that superstition or something, she reluctantly nodded. Whatever floats your boat? Then the dramatic come back, how funny...boy did that hat go sailing in to the crowd when the 4th goal went in, she launched it as far as she could throw it, LOL.
Well we can all do what we can to help the team.

Whatever floats your boat? Then the dramatic come back, how funny...boy did that hat go sailing in to the crowd when the 4th goal went in, she launched it as far as she could throw it, LOL.
Well we can all do what we can to help the team.
Vs Bolton PART 2
This game had just about everything and will be a fond memory for a long time to come I think! What a thriller, makes the season ticket price worth it for moments like this.
After the first game I thought Bolton played really well and caused us a few problems despite us eventually running out 2-0 winners. If there was anything to be learnt from that game, they would sacrifice a forward and deploy a man marker on Fabregas. So they did. Only surprise was they dropped Klasnic, he looked very sharp in first game so that was a bonus for us. I thought they would keep him in and push Davies out on the wing. Kevin Davies is an underrated player, no he doesn't have all the glitz and flair, but he contributes a hell of a lot to Bolton in a way an old fashion traditional centre forward should. I've looked at him closely many times and he’s a handful. He works incredibly hard for the team, a real asset to Bolton.
So we've suffered a few niggley injuries this season but it seems every time a players out, we have good enough cover. By jolly, does this finally mean we have learnt the error of our ways :-) Previous seasons we've missed out I feel due to no strength and depth in the squad, compared to the likes of Chelsea and Man U who could field a strong 11 and an almost equally strong back up 11 out of the same squad. So we have loads of tricky samey samey attacking midfielders and everyone gets on Wengers back (me included) sign a forward no more attacking midfielders, but have we not needed them all?! Not once have they all been fit at the same time. So our big guns...Diaby, Fabregas, Rosicky, Nasri, Denilson, Ramsey, Song, Arshavin. YES that’s EIGHT for FOUR places, bingo. That’s without mentioning Eboue who has been a good versatile player for us, but is he not surplus to requirements now? A bit like Senderos (Sols a gooner, der der der dert, Sols a gooner) Craig Eastmond, impressed (Jack Wilshire, Fran Merida cameo’s have been ok too)
OK we have struggled up front with Van Persie and Bendtner out. I feel Eduardo's still finding himself a bit and Arshavins done ok up there, surely we could benefit from a BIG target man. That said we have not struggled for goals. We are top scorers in the league and the goals are coming from a range of players. So once again IN WENGER WE TRUST. Boy am I going to appreciate Bendtner when he's back!!!! Recently signed a new contract cries of WHY from the fans, it takes us a while...but we get there in the end. Wenger, really in my eyes you are a legend and I honestly can not imagine my Arsenal without you.
So, we go 2-0 down. I thought they would score, I even thought they would get the first goal, as that’s typically us and I've seen it all before. Sorry, I never envisaged them getting 2! After the first goal went it was the usual deafly silence, and then the crowd got straight behind the boys. Not so sure after the second one though. I know this is a bit arrogant, but even at 2-0 down I never thought we'd lose the game not once did doubt set in at all. Fabregas was having a frustrating half, but the team was creating enough chances. It would only be a matter of time before we got something; right now we are just way too creative.
What a break through though, that Rosicky goal was awesome. just before half time and we piled it on them big time, could of got another in quick succession. I looked at Bolton and thought they began to tire if that’s possible, I don't know. Its just they were first to a lot of balls 1st half and their work rate was so high, in the end though does the fast fluid football pull though...you can't chase the ball round forever. We really let the ball do all the hard work.
So second half much better, kept the pressure on and got a controversial equaliser though who else, the man of the moment: FABREGAS. I saw the Gallas foul in the build up and at the time thought to myself he got away with that one. As for Owen Coyle and his assault. No. Yes it was a bad foul. Yes we played on but it was behind the attacking players (how may times do you drill in to the kids, play to the whistle) you don't know if the player gets up and no you can't kick the ball out every time a player goes down and your on the attack 2-1 down at home in a crucial match that could put you top of the league. Could you imagine, players would be dropping like flies? Cast your mind back a few matches when Denilson dropped unchallenged going towards our goal with the ball...in full view of play this time. Did we moan that Everton pounced on this and took the ball right the way up the pitch and nearly scored, no we never.
At this stage I was happy. I remember looking at Bolton home and away within a week and thinking 6pts maybe not possible. So 2-0 down back to 2-2 I was satisfied as I felt my faith had paid off. Hold on, surely not, VERMAELEN: GOAL and we go crazy. Ha ha ha. Taylour, what’s the score, Taylour Taylour what’s the score. Taylour, what’s the score, Taylour Taylour what’s the score. Egg on your face disgrace. You dare to celebrate your penalty goal to put your team 2-0 up in front of our tribe with only 12supporters backing you up and have the wrath of at least 50k plus gooners on your case. I bet he wanted the ground to swallow him up. Now we just play out at a slower pace, purely concentrating on retaining possession. With that just come more penetrating flicks here and there and BAM Arshavin bundles his way through their defense to coolly finish the fairy tale off for us!! So we not only win the game, but that gives us the two goal cushion we required to go...we are top of the league, say we are top of the league.
After the game I was on such a high, what a feeling, checkout the table when I got home...

Vs Bolton PART 1
Feel dreadful today, coldy, headachey, sore throaty mess. Would of loved to stay home wrapped in a duvet all day, but hey ho the show must go on.
So we beat Bolton 2-0 yesterday and have the unusual pleasure of playing them again Wednesday due to all the weather disruptions etc etc NOT TO SELF: wrap up warm.
Let’s hope finally this game goes ahead and for as long as I can remember we are able to sing, TOP THE LEAGUE, TOP THE LEAGUE, Whaooo Whaooo :-)
Our underdog title status is finally coming to fruition; Sunday's win ensures we remain 3pts behind Chelsea and 2pts behind Man U with a game in hand. Not to mention the fact we play both of these end of Jan, beginning Feb! I’m not counting my chickens yet, but we have a very big say in where we will be in the table come mid February time :-) Which could be a very dominating position if we play our cards right.
This is why we love the Premier league, after suffering our 3-0 home defeat against Chelsea we've responded by dropping just 4pts in our next 8 games. Where as Chelsea have since dropped 9pts in 7games and Man U have dropped 8pts over the same period. Whey hey.

Postponed
So after all the anticipation, it was called off!
Of course we must emphasize again, the Emirates pitch was playable but there were safety concerns about the surrounding areas of the stadium and transport problems.
So I guess there will be another revised date for this fixture. I hope we are still in the mix by then. Hopefully we will be playing it out to go 3pts clear at the top of the table by then!
So the official statement read:
"Despite making every effort to stage tonight's match against Bolton Wanderers, the sudden and unpredicted adverse change in weather conditions in the Highbury area has left us no choice but to postpone the fixture."
"We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and wish to state that this decision was not made lightly and supporters' safety and travel arrangements were major factors in our thinking"
"All tickets currently held will be valid for the re-arranged fixture."
3:40pm I think it was officially called off, so I made my way across the river from work instead of across London to the game...checked in on sky sports news when I got home, those poor Bolton fans actually at the stadium...
"watch the Arsenal, you only come to watch the Arsenal, come to watch the Arrrrsssenal, you only come to watch the Arsenal" Good luck with your trip back, see you next time!

The long awaited game in hand against Bolton
Just over a month ago our title hopes were in tatters, after a 3-0 home loss to Chelsea leaving us 11 points off the pace. What a joy that was. No complaints, I thought defensively Chelsea were absolutely solid. Probably the best unit I have seen for ages. We don't help ourselves though, chipping balls up to the likes of Arshavin/Eduardo/Vela etc who probably have a combined height of 6ft between them, what’s the point. Easy pickings for the likes of Carvalho and Terry. Why not play to our strengths rather than to their advantage?
Their open play goals. I'm sure they were two carbon copy crosses from Cole. What did we not learn the first time? Why back off that much after only allowing him in to our half twice, two times is all he needed to play two decisive killer balls in. Ok great, lets just rub salt in the wounds.
Leads me nicely on to Drogba. Oh how he was the butt of everyone's jokes. Now look at him. What a good player, it pains me to say it. Reminded me of a game I watched from behind the goal at Euro2004, Ruud van Nistelrooy was very much the striker in form back then. Germany was beating the Netherlands 1-0 and Van Nistelrooy was a virtual spectator for the whole match. No exaggeration, Germany never gave him an inch all game, he hardly touched the ball. That’s when you find out you have a world class striker in your ranks, on 81mins with the centre back all over him somehow he managed to score a superb goal and rescue a point for his country. But that was all it took, one touch, one chance, one goal. Bit like Drogba, did nothing but stick the final boot in on a couple of goals. What more do you need your striker to do. It was just one of those days, when they got that free kick around the edge of area on 86min, of course that went in too and I walked out with everyone else.
Our midfield had no problems against them; I would probably go as far as to say we were stronger than them in this area. I actually thought our defense was ok too, I know they let in three goals (ok I’m bias but sorry it was a flattering score line) but really if they are top of the league and they are the benchmark, yes they have the best defense I've seen but we are not that far off them! We struggled big time up front. We were never at the races. That was what the difference was in my eyes, once they got the ball up there they had Drogba and Anelka. We had sod all. So for all our efforts at getting the ball up there, it was never going to materialise in to anything.
Come back Bendtner all is forgiven I now I see, understand and miss all what you offer to the team and I promise to appreciate you from here on in cause I will cast my mind back to this period we sustained without you. Groveling and promises over. Hey its January any 6ft target will do at this stage, nudge nudge wink wink Arsene, please... I trust in you n all but 'big size' cover for our impressive centre backs and forwards, no more pint sized attacking midfield maestros, we have loads of those now.
While were on the subject, a MOAN: I knew it was too good to be true, Van Persie, great player but way to injury prone. Loads of promise and potential but he has never completed a full season, has he? Call me unsympathetic but it just really annoys me. He broke his toe in January 2006, fractured a metatarsal in January 2007 and damaged a knee on international duty in October 2007. After finally starting to enjoy a relatively injury-free 2008/09 season, he started out in all Premier League games and in only 11 appearances was our second highest scorer with eight goals but check this, he also had eight assists. So vital to the team, then gets injured again on international duty. Let’s see if he can impact on the 09/10 season, he was on course but I am sure he is never going to be a 25goal a season player. There I said it.
So our first season as season ticket holders and everyone was poking fun at us saying it will be the first season we finish outside of the top four. Oh I guess all them haters must of been referring to Man City wedging us out or something. Rain check: Man City are 5th and Mark Hughes has been sacked. So despite only losing 2 and the four above all losing 3, 4 even 5 games each its the ridiculous 8 draws that have been their downfall. Shame on you Toure and Adebayor. See you in April!
So, back to the game in hand (what an important match, I will be on tender hooks) a win will put us, ER HELLO yes 1pt in front of Man U and only 1pt behind Chelsea. Right in the mix with every chance of winning the League, we are doing ok in the Champions League and still in the FA Cup (where were you when Jermaine Beckford's goal dumped Man U out, LOL) We love a big match fact: Manchester United had never before lost in the third round of the Cup - or been knocked out of it by a lower-division side - during Sir Alex Ferguson's 23-year reign as manager, but they began 2010 on the wrong end of their biggest upset in this competition since they were dumped out by Bournemouth in 1984. Shame. Well done Leeds, only forty-two league places separate you from Man U but I thought you thoroughly deserved the victory. It was a thrilling tie and I enjoyed all 95 minutes of it.
Ok really back to the game tonight, see I'm so anxious I can't concentrate...
I immediately thought Bolton are considered our 'bogey side' but news just in, that was only under Sam Allardyce! So there is hope as we've won our last six games against Wanderers, scoring 14 goals in the process. Also, the Trotters have only won one of their last 20 league games in London. We will be missing the absolute revelation of the season, Alex Song who has departed for the Africa Cup of Nations and there's nothing like a sacking of a manager to fire the troops up?! Wanderers will again be led by assistant manager Chris Evans and first team coach Steve Wigley. Cries of WHO? I hear. We'll see how it goes, you never know on their day anyone is capable of beating anyone in the Premier League so let’s not get complacent.
How exciting.

Snow Snow Snow
So severe weather warnings, I mean how many times have we been promised snow for it never to materialise. Not these days.
So we've had our fair share recently, oh how I love the chaos it causes. Not to mention the fast journeys in to work! Ok a little tricky getting out of my own road but after that a clear run (on clear roads, I must add)
Arsenal tonight, as if the Emirates couldn't handle a few snowflakes! As usual credit to the fabulous ground staff and of course the fantastic facilities and procedures we have in place at the greatest club in the world. I mean under soil heating, hey you lot at Ewood Park and the Eastlands what's going on?
Check out the pitch pictured this morning. Cover off and you'd never know the rest of the UK is hidden under a few inches...

A bit of tidying up around the edges here and there...

Pull the cover off the big mans seat and were good to go...
